The star of Bethlehem may have eluded discovery for the very mundane reason that one of the principal clues, the death of Herod, has been in confusion. Placing Herod’s death in the year 1BC opens an unexpected way for everything else to fall into place. The whole topic is discussed in five posts, a mix of astronomy, astrology, history, scripture, and theology. I hope I have brought order to this fascinating topic. God is full of surprises! You didn’t expect this one.

Hello there,
I rec’d the link to your blog from Kathy Bridge this morning. Wow!
Background to Question: I moused over “His Star in the Easts” and Word Press Editing pops up….I then registered (without realizing what I was doing) to become an editor….after some confusion, I logged out of Word Press.
Question: Can I simply read “His Star in the Easts”? (I’m DYING to read more!!) Or do I have to do something before I can do that?
Thank you!
You should be able to read it with no problem. I wonder what’s going on. Maybe she sent you the link to just one post and you got stuck in a comment box? Anyway, go to https://marydaly.wordpress.com Look at the top of the page, and you will see (well, it may be hidden under the search box, this is a new problem) — a page called Star. It will list the five Christmas posts. Or you can search for Bethlehem or something, or just go back by date to mid-December. Let me know if it’s a problem. Mary
